What is a microfibre drying towel?
They are microfibre towels designed to absorb large quantities of water. These towels work exceptionally well for automotive/vehicle drying and are used by all professional car valets.
How does a microfibre drying towel work?
Microfibre is a highly absorbent material. It uses capillary action, which draws in the moisture and holds onto it until wrung out. Also, there are different styles of weaves which help with water absorption. You can have cloths/towels made with a higher GSM. This means the towel is often thicker, allowing more water to be absorbed, like our 1000GSM. Or there are others like our Diamond weave, a lighter towel. However, it's constructed using a sandwich technique, allowing for three super-absorbent microfibre layers.
Benefits of using a microfibre drying towel
- Absorb many times their weight in water
- Streak free finish
- Perfect for sensitive paint surfaces
- Reduce the time spent drying
- Easy to rinse and clean
- High GSM
- Super soft
- Lightweight

How to choose the right microfibre drying towel?
Consider the task at hand. We have five different types of drying towels available.
Diamond Weave Drying Towel
Our top-of-the-line 500GSM Diamond Weave Drying Towel is unrivalled in the market for its efficiency. Among all our towels, it boasts the highest absorption capability. It utilises a sandwich method, incorporating three layers of super absorbent microfiber. If you are searching for a premium drying towel, this is the ideal product. A towel that absorbs well does not necessarily have to be thick and velvety. Besides, using a non-fluffy drying towel makes rinsing, cleaning, and wringing out much more effortless.
Heavyweight 1000GSM
This plush, velvety towel is of exceptional quality and is employed in the automotive industry to buff, wipe, dry, and perform top-notch polishing. Its thickness, which is measured at 1,000 gsm, makes it effortless to eradicate any substances from all kinds of surfaces. Furthermore, the towel boasts high dust retention and absorption of water thanks to its super soft deep pile.
Twisted Loop
The Twisted Loop drying towels we offer are specifically designed to efficiently and effectively dry various surfaces. They are created using a special weaving technique that results in a one-of-a-kind twisted loop pattern on the fabric, making them unique and more absorbent. If you are seeking a dependable and durable towel capable of handling challenging drying tasks, twisted loop drying towels are an excellent choice. Made from high-quality materials, they can endure frequent use and washing. These towels remain soft, absorbent, and retain their texture even after multiple washes. In addition, they are versatile and practical for any use in a house, car, or office. The towels are reasonable in price, simple to use and maintain, and surpass traditional towels' drying performance. Whether you are looking for a towel that can handle heavy-duty cleaning tasks or one that is gentle enough for delicate surfaces, a twisted loop drying towel is the perfect choice.
Terry 450 GSM
Our microfibre terry cloth weighing 450GSM stands out as it features dual textures. One side is soft and fluffy, great for drying, while the other has a tighter weave ideal for cleaning. This versatile cloth's two different finishes make it adaptable to various applications. Its larger 60 x 90 cm size is perfect for the automotive sector, while the 40 x 40 cm version is suitable for any task that requires a gentle, highly absorbent cloth.
Waffle Cloth
Our absorbent waffle weave towels excel in drying tasks due to their unique pattern that allows for efficient water absorption and retention. Their effectiveness is ideal for use as car or boat towels, swiftly drying surfaces with minimal effort. Furthermore, the waffle fabric makes it simpler for washing, ensuring easy cleaning after use.

Tips for maintaining a microfibre drying towel
Car-drying towels are an essential tool to have in your cleaning arsenal. However, if not cared for properly can reduce the expected life expectancy. Most high-quality towels will last many years if washed regularly and stored in a protected environment. Also, try not to place your towel on the floor as you do not want it to pick up grit or dirt, as the fibre could capture this and may cause scratch marks to your paintwork.
Why should you use a microfibre drying towel?
Advantages of using a microfibre drying towel over other materials
As mentioned above, microfibre uses capillary action, which draws in moisture. The tiny spaces between the fine fibres create capillary channels that draw in and distribute moisture throughout the towel. Also, the fine fibres of the towels create a larger surface area, allowing them to absorb and hold onto water more effectively. Microfibre towels also have quick wicking and evaporation properties, meaning they can quickly draw moisture away from the surface being dried. Their thin and breathable structure facilitates rapid evaporation.
How a microfibre drying towel prevents scratches on the surface
Due to their soft and gentle texture, the tiny fibres are much finer than other materials like cotton. This softness helps reduce the risk of scratches.
Can a microfibre drying towel be used on other surfaces?
Yes, microfibre towels can be used on a variety of different surfaces. They do not only need to be used for your car's exterior. This could include some of the following: automotive vehicles, glass and mirrors, appliances and electronics, furniture, kitchen tops & surfaces, and floors.
How to dry large areas quickly with a microfibre drying towel
First, you need a large towel, ideally one measuring 80 x 60 CM. A larger towel will allow you to dry more efficiently and effectively. Fold the towel into quarters or halves, depending on the size. This creates layers, increasing the towel's absorbency and surface area. Apply pressure and use broad, sweeping motions to wipe the towel across the surface. If the towel becomes too wet, unfold or reposition the towel to use a new, dry section.
How to care for your microfibre drying towel?
Proper washing and drying techniques for microfibre drying towels
We recommend washing our Towels at around 40 degrees Celsius. We make our cloths of the highest quality fabrics, which allows washing up to 95 degrees Celsius. However, shrinkage will occur in the initial few washes, up to 5%. Also, our cloths can be tumbled dried, which can be beneficial as it opens the fibres. Finally, unlike most microfibre towels, our threads will not burn at elevated temperatures.
Please do not use any fabric softeners/conditions when washing our diamond weave. Fabric softeners/conditions will leave a coating on fabrics, preventing the microfibres from working efficiently.
How often should you replace your microfibre drying towel?
We recommend throwing away one of these towels when cleaning a mess with sticking, glue-like substances or filthy ones.
Storage tips for your microfibre drying towel
Keep your towel stored in a clean, try space, as you don't want your towels to pick up unwanted dirt or grime.
Tips for achieving a streak-free finish with a microfibre drying towel
The safest way to dry your car is with a clean towel. Dirt, debris or residue on the towel can leave streaks on your drying surface. Ensure no chemicals or cleaning products are left on your car's surface before drying. Chemical residue can contribute to streaking.
